Use this app to calculate the bending moment and shear force at any section of simply supported beam (without overhangs) subjected to point load, uniformly distributed load, varying load and applied moments on the span or supports.
This calculator uses equations of static equilibrium to determine the reactions at the supports and then determines the values of shear force and bending moment at the required section. It also calculates maximum value of bending moment and the point of maximum bending moment which are based on bending moment equation for the loading case.
NOTE:
This app does not require an active internet connection for calculation of values in the case of a 'point load acting on the beam' and 'uniformly distributed load on full span', but for all other cases an internet connection is required. This constraint will be removed in future updates soon.
